Matthew Vasquez is a passionate landscape designer and the proud owner of Palmatum Landscape Design. With a degree in Landscape Architecture from UC Davis and over a decade of experience in the industry, Matthew has cultivated a reputation for solving landscape challenges in creative and beautiful ways. Since 2013, he has contributed his expertise to projects in both Seattle, Washington, and the greater Sacramento region, giving him a uniquely diverse perspective on landscape design.
Matthew's love for nature and the outdoors fuels his work. Whether hiking, exploring nurseries, or crafting designs that bring out the best in outdoor spaces, he is dedicated to helping people transform their landscapes into places of beauty and enjoyment. He believes that a well-designed outdoor space can enrich lives, providing both functionality and aesthetic pleasure.

‘Palmatum’
The word ‘Palmatum’ comes from the Latin name of my favorite tree, the ‘Acer palmatum’, or Japanese Maple as it is commonly known. This wonderful tree has many different colors and forms and is a wonderful piece of living sculpture. No two are the same and neither are the projects I design for my clients. Each design is as unique as the people who will get to experience it every day.
