Designs tailored to fit your life.
Our approach
Our goal at Palmatum Landscape Design is to show clients that their outside environment is an extension of their inside environment. We provide custom and well thought out designs that are not only functional, but complementary to your desired aesthetic.
Meet your designer
Palmatum is led by Matthew Vasquez, a landscape designer trained in Landscape Architecture at UC Davis, with more than a decade in the landscape industry across the Sacramento region and the Pacific Northwest. Matthew was the landscape designer on two episodes of HGTV's Crashers, including a Roseville backyard transformed into a wellness and entertaining retreat.
We are a design studio, not a construction company. That means our only job is getting the design right. Your plans specify every material, plant, size and quantity, so any licensed contractor can bid and build them accurately. We design for how you will actually live outside first, then make it beautiful, with plant palettes chosen for Sacramento Valley heat, clay soils and water realities.
From conversation to reality
We can help turn your space from an idea to reality with our comprehensive design process. Our designs are tailor-made to each client’s way of life, specific site conditions, and budgets.
In-person and remote options
While there is nothing like meeting a client face to face and seeing the property first hand, a virtual consultation is always an option for those outside our area of operation.
